News

Summer is coming!

We're gearing up for a great summer. We'll be having great local workshops. We'll be traveling to other scenes to dance. We're also going to have our first big Blues workshop weekend. Check out the "Events" page and facebook for more information on these and other events.

New Year, New Location!

It's time to say goodbye to the Reformation Lutheran Church and hello to our new location at the American Legion Hut on Pickens St. We would like to thank the RLC for letting us use their facility for the last year.

Our new location is the American Legion Hut:
200 Pickens St.
Columbia, SC 29205

The times stay the same. Advanced lesson from 6:00-7:00, Beginner Lesson 7:00-8:00, Open Dancing 8:00-10:00ish.

You do not have to be a member of either Palmetto Swing or the American Legion to come to the dances here, though there are lots of other events and services at the American Legion that you can take part in if you become a member for them.

We'll see you on the dance floor!

Dancing at The Woody in the Vista

We've recently started going to this new bar and club to dance to a great variety of music ranging from Pop and R&B to Beach Music and traditional Jazz.
The Woody in the Vista is the newest and liveliest night spot in Columbia. We Feature the best known DJ in the area, Woody Windham. The show that Woody delivers is, "the best party you've ever had." The Woody is Columbia's number one spot for dancing and a great place to meet your friends or make new friends. We play the music you want to hear. Step away from the stress of your day and into the best party in town.
