The Big Apple Comes Home II
Back for a second year in a row, the Palmetto Swing Dance Association brings you a historical dance event. The Big Apple dance craze swept the nation and the world. On September 17-19, 2010, we'll be taking a walk back through the history of the Big Apple. We'll start by learning the choreographed version that Frankie Manning created for the movie "Keep Punchin", then we'll take a look at a more organic style of the Big Apple that more closely resembles the dance in it's original forms. And all of this in the hometown of the dance itself.
You're not going to want to miss this chance to relive a part of dance history!
We're still working on all of the details so be patient and check back often for updates. You can catch us on Facebook or head over to palmettoswing.com to sign up for our e-mail list as well as check out information on more great events brought to you by the Palmetto Swing Dance Association.
